Marv Tarplin Miracles Guitarist Dies

Sad day for me. Marv was one of the reasons I wanted to play guitar. Long before Jimi, Carlos and David Gilmore, Marv was my inspiration with his smooth, classy and funky style. He was also one of my first guitar teachers. I used to get quick lessons from him back stage at the Apollo Theatre. I will never forget his black Les Paul. Thank YOU Marv for all the great music with Motown and Smokey, and, thank YOU for the lessons...R.I.P

Falling Skies and TV Ads

Just finished watching the 2 hr series premier of TNT's "Falling Skies". Was not really impressed. As far as I am concerned, "V" was much better. And actually, so was/is "The Event". This series is to mamby pamby family oriented to be a good sci fi alien conquers Earth event. I will give it a couple of regular one hour episodes, then, decide whether it is worth my time. Shows like this need to be on pay channels, uncensored, uninterrupted straight up kickass.

I am also thankful that I dvr'd this show. TNT had 27000 commercials it seemed like. destroys the flow and feel of the show! Not to mention the fact that most of the ads were just plain dumb, stupid and ignorant! Who do these companies think they are advertising to, morons? The ad agencies cranking the garbage out should be put out of business forever. NO imagination, NO creativity, NO originality and NO CLASS! wtf!! I have had my own agency in the past and I know, I can put out alot better product then the sh*t these losers are throwing at us. Do these companies ever even look at some of this drivel?

The season finale of "Game of Thrones" had the best ending of any series I have ever seen. If You missed it, "CHECK IT OUT"!!!!!!! Damn....! "Thrones" is one of the best series I have seen. HBO is the premier network for great series. Waiting until next spring for season two of "Thrones" is going to be tough. This rivals, or surpasses for me, waiting for the return of "True Blood".


Anything with dragons and wolves, has my undivided attention!!!
