Roland Emmerich, who did Godzilla, Day After Tommorow and Independence Day, promised he would not do anymore disaster films. That was until he saw how many millions of web hits and sites were related to "2012". His mind changed and he is currently working toward the completion of "2012" the movie. The tentative release day is July 10, 2009. The cast features John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt and Danny Glover. It is budgeted at $200 million.
