All wknd on tv, I have been bombarded with a trailer for the "A Team". HELLO! Who cares? Doesn't anyone in Hollywood have an imagination/creativity? Remakes, that's it! I have an original 3 part story with the screen play written for part one. If anyone out there is looking for a great script and story, I have just what You need. And, "THREE PARTS"! Godzilla has nothing to do with story

A friend of mine sent me this link to NASA's take on "2012". Naturally, it pooh poohs all the "doomsday" stuff that has been associated with the date. What, the gov is going to tell You the real deal? Either way, they never mention anything about stuff that HAS happened and WILL happen again. Like Yellowstone, tecktonic plate shifts, San Andreas etc..enjoy the read!!

"2012" The Movie - Review

Let me start by saying, "2012" the movie, is just that, a movie. There are two perspectives going on here however. One is the movie/entertainment aspect. The second is the science and history and prophecy aspects of the movie.

Based on what I saw, most, if not all, is very possible. Most of what is in the movie concerning the events that pretty much "defrag and reboot" the Earth, have happened in the past history of this planet. And yes, if they occurred again in our lifetime, "we are so screwed". However, "it is not the end of civilization".

There were a ton of adults in the theatre for the showing I saw. There were also way to many younger kids that I do not think needed to be there. The movie is dark and depressing, as it should be for the "end of days". It is pretty heavy and intense. It is not an "uplifting" tale.

However, from the pure entertainment factor, the special effects are awesome, and, the characters were pretty good. It is an edge of your seat ride. Props to Roland Emmerich. I will see this movie again. As I always say, "pay attention, this could be more than "just a movie".

Computer(pc)Backup and Problems

Hey friends, family and associates, I am finally back up and running on the old pc. At last! My pc started jerking me around in August and just got progressively worse until it would do nothing. For those of YOU who don't know me that well, let me assure YOU I am very aware of the stuff You can pick up and take as many precautions as possible to avoid this kind of crap. However, there are things going on that You cannot defend against because, You don't know they are going on till it's too late.

This is what my IT guy, who is very good, found was causing my problems.

A) Found 100+ high risk and severe risk trojans and spyware

B) McAfee Anti-Virus program was corrupted causing system slow downs and not protecting the computer.

C) Panda Cloud was also corrupted and causing system slowdowns and not stopping viruses, malware and spyware

My guy managed to remove all of the bad stuff and installed AVG for protection. It took him forever and a day. The reason he did this was to save me from losing important stuff on my hard drive that I had not backed up. Otherwise, he just would have formatted my drive and reloaded Windows Xp or Windows 7 and I would have lost everything on my computer.

What I did next, is what YOU need to do if You have not already. I got a 4 gigabyte flash drive and downloaded all my important stuff to it. It is so easy to do, morons could do it. If my computer screws up again, I just have to reload the operating system and go on about my business. All my important files, pictures, music etc are on my little tiny flash drive. Which, plugs right into a usb port.

Save yourself some grief, it is only a matter of time before the pc gremlins get your stuff jacked up. By the way, my guy recommends Windows 7 "professional" 32 bit.

Les Paul - His Story

"When I was a kid there was only one person in my hometown that played the guitar, and that was me. It was all piano in the old days. The guitar was rare.

What we did was take an acoustical instrument -- which was a very apologetic, wonderful, meek instrument -- and turned it into a pit bull. And that's what happened -- the guitar started to become more important in Waukesha, Wisc., the Chicago area, the Midwest. In 1930, I was already playing on the electric guitar, playing in a little bar in Cleveland, in Rochester, some state fairs. I played Ithaca, Binghamton, Rochester, all the way up to Boston, just everywhere you could play between Chicago and New York, exposing this instrument to all the players or those that would like to be players. Soon everybody wanted a guitar. It was just unbelievable. The people were running up and down the street going from one store to the other.

And there was no such thing as amplifiers, so I had to build my own -- I took my mother's radio and I turned it into one. I did the same thing with a guitar. I just took the guitar and said, 'Hey, it's not loud enough.' I was playing a little barbecue stand halfway to Milwaukee and some critic that was sitting in the backseat of a car, ordering a sandwich, wrote a note that said, 'You know, what you're doing right out there is great, but your guitar is not loud enough.' So I went home and told mom about it. She said, 'You'll figure it out, you'll figure it out.' What I figured out was how to make that guitar louder and better. First, I took an acoustical guitar and ended up filling it with Plaster of Paris. I tried everything, and it finally worked. I said, 'I'm gonna make two guitars, one out of wood and one out of a big long piece of railroad track and make both of them identical.' I used the same telephone for a pickup, the part that you listen to on the telephone, the magnet and the coil. I placed that under the string and I was just playing through my mother's radio. Between the wooden guitar and the metal one, the railroad track was much better. I ran to my mother, saying, 'I found it! I found it!' My mother said, 'The day you see a cowboy on a horse playing a railroad track,' and she blew me right out of the water with that. I said, 'It's got to be wood. Okay, we're gonna make it the most beautiful piece of dense wood that will be as close to that railroad track as we can get with that good sound.'

I remember I would go into a club in the very early days with my electric. I didn't care who was there with his saxophone or trumpet or piano or drums, I could drown them out. It became a monster, from a wimp to a monster.

I think of the impact often. I was lucky young kids came along -- Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck -- and said, 'I wanna do that."

Thank YOU Les Paul. Had it not been for him, who knows where music might have been today. As a guitarist, as far as I am concerned, there are only two guitars; a Les Paul and a Stratocaster. I am in search of my next Les Paul.
